Darna Hookah Lounge and Bar - Arlington
Pepe and I attended my cousin’s birthday party at Darna. This was my first time visiting the venue on an October Saturday night, and I would definitely return. We did not have dinner there but indulged in drinks and hookah. For the hookah, the only base available is water. The music was on point with a wonderful mix of Latin, Indian, Arabic, Hip-hop, Pop. We did not stop dancing all night! Since we had booked a table for ten (10), we had table service. Keep in mind, the minimum spend requirement for a booked table is $750. In other words, between all of the guests at the table, your tab/check must be at least $750 worth of food, alcohol, and or hookah. We hit that pretty easily between the ten of us. Especially after a couple of bottles of champagne to celebrate the birthdays.
Closing out at the end of the night was a bit challenging. Our server misplaced one of the credit cards that were given to her and she was unable to locate it. So, close out before last call - before everyone else is trying to close out. By the end of the night, the lounge was packed without any moving space!
What to wear
Dress it up, live a little! I wore a cute, low-cut polka dot dress from Express, paired with red pumps. Pepe wore dark jeans, a button down shirt, and a sports coat. Most guests were dressed in club wear even though it was cold outside! It gets hot inside with the number of people dancing very quickly!
